Fine Line didn't start with a business plan. It started with a question that families across the Golden Triangle Region have asked themselves after every bad storm season: Why do we keep rebuilding the same house?
Here in Starkville and across the GTR — Columbus, West Point, Louisville, and the communities in between — wood-frame construction has been the default for decades. Not because it's the best way to build, but because it's the fastest and cheapest. Mississippi weather doesn't care about that tradeoff. Tornadoes, severe storms, and the occasional hurricane remnant don't respect code minimums.
We discovered ICF — Insulated Concrete Form construction — and everything changed. Here was a building method that produced homes dramatically stronger, quieter, more energy-efficient, and longer-lasting than conventional construction, at a cost difference that made real sense when you accounted for lifetime energy savings and insurance discounts. We looked around the Golden Triangle and realized nobody was offering this to local families.
So we became the GTR's first — and still the only — dedicated ICF home builder.
